This bike was recently sold on Ebay. The seller claims it is a Star, model 1891, built by Sharratt & Lisle from Wolverhampton. In 1896 the firm changed their name to Star Cycle Co.

The bike on the pictures shows some interesting details like the early diamond frame with the forward mounted saddle tube. I have seen this construction with other makers as well. Besides that, it is quite a normal early diamond frame. The original saddle is very nice; mudguards are missing.
It's a shame the seller didn't mention if a name or serial number is engraved. More pictures on this site (click here).
